According to David Newby, professor of cardiology at the University of Edinburgh, when it comes to air pollution, “living in the country is better for you.”  Your risk of damage to the lungs and heart greatly reduces when you live away from busy roads because the fine particles and gases emitted by traffic are considerably decreased.
